PROVINCIAL DEVELOPMENT DIRECTIONS AND AGENDA

The Development Directions and Agenda will directly support all five pillars of development objectives laid out in the current administration of Gov. Susan A. Yap. As it addresses the challenges in improving all aspects of development from economic, social, environment, institutional, and infrastructure. It supports the overall spatial framework of Tarlac Province, where the executive – legislative agenda is considered a guide for policies as well as a factor that would boost economic activities in the province’s cluster of cities and municipalities.

The Provincial Development Goals and Objectives rest on Social, Economic, Environment, Institutional, as well as Infrastructure, Transportation, and Access within the whole province of Tarlac.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN

1.1 Increased and sustained employment rate in all the sectors of the economy
1.2 Enhanced investment level
1.3 Increased value added from agriculture, fishery, and forestry

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

5.1 Improve people’s access to physical services and utilities, including transportation and access.
5.2 Modernization and re-engineering for efficiency and enhancing the sector’s competitiveness to be at par with the rest of the progressive areas nationally and globally

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

2.1 Improve people’s access to social services -- to ensure that families live in a peaceful, orderly community with decent homes
2.2 Enable residents to be responsible for their personal, health and social responsibilities through proper education and basic life skills

THE ENVIRONMENT SECTOR

3.1 Sustain the use of natural resources for wealth creation while maintaining the integrity and resilience of ecosystems, both natural and man-made, for a better quality of life of the people of Tarlac Province

INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

4.1 Sustain good governance through a provincial government bureaucracy that is efficient, productive and responsive to the development needs of the local constituency
